Assignment hell

Why have I put myself through this again!!! Each time (8 times a year), I analyse what has happened, and make a suggestion to...
a) let some other poor tutor take them - preferably one who knows nothing about the subject (no point in asking questions).
b) split the class, and run the assingment over two days.
c) carry on trying to serve them all at the same time.

I go for b, but end up doing c. and feel like I have been to hell and back a few times.

1st hour i spent reading the assignment to the students, making clear what is asked from them. Any questions?? wait..Nothing...All understood? do some random questioning...All seems ok..I am assured they understand.
Right class...good luck...you may all begin.....SIR!!..SIR!!..SIR!! for 3 hours!
Is this the screenshot you want? Task 3b does not make sense, sir?? have you done any of task 2?...no sir...try doing them in numerical/alphabetical order, it helps.

At the end. I say next time it's option A for me.
